I did all in normal except duncan with sabway and I think I did them with discord build too. Either bring a dedicated mm without discord or FS or both. I think I ran fireboss with and without winter. These, like the rest of the game, are all about setting up and how/where you pull.

This is what I run. Since it takes a while to set up between fights I can still usually get ursan up before anything bad happens.

Ranger ursan with serpents and support skills
MM or MM with Discord (micromanged at times)
Nec Sab or Discord
Nec Sab or Discord
Nuker
Monk
Monk
Ranger or nec depending... (necro conditions for discord build/ranger interrupts)

On this Discord team would it not still better to give them MM Jagged Bones in order to cause a bleeding "condition" which is needed for Discord to work and trigger its cast more often from the other two with it?

He just took the sabway build and replaced all the elites with discord and poof 'OMFG DISCORDWAYZ' not much thought used there, also the n/rt has 5 diff attribs? LOL! and the n/mo has 4 =/ BAD BAD BAD.

I was just messing around with the bars and found a pretty good variant for NM since in NM the reduced attack speed minimizes the damage from [Spiteful Spirit]. I also increased the damage output by slotting [Icy Veins] so the build could compete with the damage output of [Searing Flames] spammers in NM. I also got rid of [protective spirit] because in NM most enemies dont hit that hard with a few exceptions. Changed curses necro elite to corrupt enchantment which makes bars go down rather quickly because of the lower enemy health. besides enchant stripping is never bad and its a bonus that doing so inflicts a very high amount of degen. ^_^

You dont need high attributes for curses, their purpose is to support Discord. With Discord as your main damage skill, HM monsters die long before the hexes and conditions expire anyway. Sabway was created about 4 months ago, even before the Discord buff so it is alittle outdated, since Sab stopped updating the build.

@Cobalt: My current 6-heroes version has 3 healers, 2 MMs (1 Discord and 1 Jagged), and 1 divert hex/protection necro for places with lots of corpses. In places where MMs dont work well, I replace the minion supporting spells with wells and others. I find that I need at least 3 copies of Discord to work well, which is more important than the bleeding condition from jagged horrors. I cleared Slavers with my 6-heroes Discord (so I can bring 2 of my characters through Slavers at once) with some modifications. Bringing anti-burning and interrupts help with forgewight.

Interesting, are you doing Slavers in HM or normal, I have not tried it in HM yet with an H&H team.

I did make a test run today in "normal" mode with Discordway plus 2 healer henches, Devona to tank (good if you are low on minions) and Zho for interrupts. With some careful pulls I was able to clear to and kill Rend fairly easy with no deaths.

If I get second account so I can run six heroes, I was thinking Discordway plus two healers and a Beatmaster/interrupt ranger so the pet could tank which is needed when low on minions and the ranger can provide plenty of interrupts.

I dont bring MMs to Slavers, wells casting for corpse control is faster. Bringing an interrupt ranger as the player is a good idea although I dont really like pet builds ever since their corpses are not exploitable anymore.

@beserk: Sabway is still workable, just that there are more powerful alternatives now like Discordway. I use this sometimes on my casters along with Mhenlo and physical damage henchies. You get more healing and more total damage, thanks to Discord. Besides heroes dont cast SS or MoP very well. Heroes dont cast WoR very well either and it also overwrites your Splinter Weapon and Weapon of Warding (and the other way round). Life only lasts for 20s at most, which would impact your Spirit Light and MBaS when it dies. If it gets killed earlier, your healer has to make a significant health sac whenever she casts Spirit Light, before the skill recharges.

So what? It does it job regardless of which weapon it is cast on. What matters is if it's cast on a weapon that (a) is aimed at a foe with adjacent foes and (b) doesn't need another weapon spell.

Nice.

I've been using [icy veins] on my N/Rit for a while now as I'm not overly impressed with the elites on offer in the restoration line and Icy is the perfect finisher which my hero seems to use with near perfect timing while keeping the SR points up to be able to spam it in conjunction with heals.

Watching stuff go boom at the same time thanks to an icy spike is gravy.

Tried a Discord team but not a huge fan of the point spread and found it less effective overall in the 3 hero format.

Each to their own.

In NM, I hero-henched every level of Slavers' other than Duncan with Sabway. It was hard, but not impossible; in fact, I thought Shards of Orr was harder. I haven't done Slavers' in HM because it's pointless; Duncan's is the only level that you have to do in HM, and I accept that Duncan is impossible with Sabway.

Also, I didn't use [frozen soil], since that would have required a Ranger (obviously). Just patient pulling and lots of ["Save Yourselves!" (luxon)].

You don't really need to use a Ranger, just get someone to go /R and spec about 3 into Wilderness for the spirit.

If you're hero-henching with Sabway, you can't "just get someone to go /R."
